Day 6: Soups + Smoothies

     It was nice to start a day without drinking two tall glasses of saltwater. After drinking lemon water, I had a cup of ginger tea and made a smoothie. For lunch I ate the first of solid food, an avocado. I wasn't home all day so I was pretty hungry by 8pm when I did finally walk in the door, and had a heaping bowl of green soup (recipe in last post). 

     After that, I just broke and had a few "Red Hot + Blue" tortilla chips. Hey, can I remind you that cleansing ain't easy? Here's the recipe for the smoothie I had that day. 

 

Banana Mango Spinach Smoothie

 

- 1/2 a mango, skin removed

-1/2 frozen banana

-1 handful baby spinach leaves

- a few springs of parsley leaves

- 1 tsp coconut oil

- 1 tsp flaxseed, ground

-1/4 tsp Moringa powder

-1/4 tsp Turmeric

-1/4 tsp Bee Pollen

-1/4 tsp Ashwagandha powder

-hemp milk to fill blender cup

-add all ingredients to blender, starting with larger stuff, then leaves, powders, and milk. Blend until smooth. Drink immediately.
